After just two years on the market, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has had some work done for the 2013 model year, and it’s heading to the 2012 New York International Auto Show to reveal its new look.
Although Mitsubishi didn’t want to spoil the surprise with a teaser image, it did clue us on a few minor details. The revised 2013 Outlander Sport will show off fresh styling, thanks to some nips and tucks to the front and rear fascias, while a host of design and equipment improvements define the interior. The changes are not all cosmetic, though. The 2013 Outlander Sport receives a revamped rear suspension, and despite having its continuously-variable transmission calibrated to improve acceleration and responsiveness for the 2012 model year (pictured), Mitsubishi tweaks it again for 2013.
We’re wondering what Mitsubishi has up its sleeves since last year’s model received a few updates. A rear back-up camera was added to the Premium package, while chrome accents, new wheel designs, and insulation to better muffle engine noise were also new for 2012.
