Slovenia's Aventador rival

Slovenia-Aventador-rival Slovenian supercar maker Tushek Supercars is planning to build a rival to the Lamborghini Aventador. Called Tushek Forego T700, the new model has a target kerb weight of less than 1000kg and power in excess of 700bhp.

Aljosa Tushek, founder of Tushek Supercars, also confirmed the new car would be able to pull up to 3.3g in extreme cornering. That's double the figure claimed for Tushek's first production car (and thought to be Slovenia's first supercar), the Renovatio T500, which made its world debut in Monaco at the Top Marques supercar show last weekend.

Powered by a 444bhp 4.2-litre Audi V8 engine, the Tushek Renovatio T500 hits 62mph from rest in a claimed 3.7 seconds on the way to a top speed just short of 200mph. Pricing starts at about £245,000 and Tushek plans on making just 30 units before focusing on the new Lamborghini rival.

Tushek told Autocar: "We only plan to make 30 pieces. Our two prototypes are sold and this is our first production car. It is 100 per cent made in Slovenia and is designed as a compromise between everyday use and track use. We expect the first customer cars to be ready by the end of the summer."
